General Industries Limited (GiL) first commenced operations in the year 1972. Initially it started off by manufacturing paper cores for the textile and packaging industries, composite cans and a number of injection– moulded and extruded plastic products.
In the year 1996, we diversified our operations and ventured into manufacturing of uPVC pipes as we had gained sufficient experience through injection moulding machines over the years. We quickly established a name and a sufficient market share for ourselves in this highly competitive industry both in the East African region and COMESA countries in no time under the brand name of “GIL” due to our unmatched attention to detail in quality and our customer service.
Currently we are one of the largest suppliers of uPVC/PPR & HDPE pipes in the East African market with clients ranging from hardware shops to large water supply & irrigation projects.
